1970 Baldwin Motion Corvette FOR SALE OR POSSIBLE TRADE
This is possibly the lowest mileage documented 1970 Corvette on the planet.!! This car is as real as they come and fully documented. The car was purchased in upstate NY in 1970 and the original owner , who is still alive and well, can verify all the following information that he set out to build a Motion Corvette by doing it himself using all authentic Motion Performance parts of the day. Hood is a real over the counter GM L-88 hood, authentic Hooker header side pipes and Motion accessories including the Mallory ignition. The owner made all the modifications on the factory numbers matching motor which has never been out of the car, which included a solid lifter Lunati .550 lift cam, angle 202 plugged heads, 11:1 compression (factory), Torquer intake manifold with Holly 750 double pumper carb and repainted to the Motion color scheme. The car was built in 1970 and seldom driven and placed in a heated basement for 20 years having been driven only occasionally to keep things in working order. Still has original 1981 inspection sticker in windshield.
The car began life as a 1970 350/350 with a 3:70 posi rear and 4 speed. The car was originally Donneybrook Green. The saddle interior is completely original as well as every single item on the car as it left the factory, except the tires. The drive train is completely original and has never been out of the car. All body panels are original as well and this is a NO HIT car. Has original clutch, radiator, shifter, shocks, brakes, calipers, and even the original starter and alternator!!.
Documented with owners manual, P.O.P., full owner history, copies of registrations, tank sticker still on tank(can be seen through filler opening). Comes with the 8.5X15 slotted aluminum wheels with almost new GR70X15 W/L tires as well as the factory rally wheels with new BF Goodrich tires(100 miles). All previous owners(3) are alive and can be reached.
Let me be clear, this car wasn’t originally assembled by Motion Performance, so I guess by rights it should be called a clone or recreation. If it were a real one it would be in the $250,000 to $350,000 range. What is unique is it was built with all the correct Motion stuff and is identical to a real one. It is also a 14,000 actual mileage car. THIS CAR IS A TIME CAPSULE !!!!!!!!!!
Offered for sale at $75,000
